Hey there songwriters. Super thrilled to wish all our songwriters a wonderful happy new year! We are completing our 27th year which is pretty amazing! Supporting and promoting songwriters and composers worldwide has been a really fulfilling purpose of mine, since I first created Songsalive! in 1997, wanting to help as many songwriters around the globe as I personally was also seeking a music community for my own music. Oh so many years ago!

Let us not forget who we are and why we are all here. This ‘business’ we call music can be cruel and unforgiving. We have all had to learn to play the game to get ahead, but deep down we are not businessmen. We are artists. Like the painter with his canvas and the sculptor with his lump of clay, we pour our heart and soul into our songs, and they are not to be judged. They are a thing of beauty to be enjoyed and should not be criticized by our peers, so called ‘music experts’, or anyone else with an opinion. Life is short and we need to join together to make it better for each and every one of us. Please, let’s all help each other through positive thoughts, positive words, and positive actions.
